December 2018 – Assignment of Environmental Management Studies of the Bays of Limassol, Larnaka and Paphos to receive groundwater dewatered from the construction of High Rise Building projects

IACO has been assigned to perform Environmental Management Studies, including carrying capacities of the Marine Environment of the Bays of Limassol, Larnaka and Paphos to receive groundwater dewatered during the basement excavation phases of the different High Rise Building projects under construction or as permitted. In the Scope of Works, an assessment of the current ecological status of these three bays is to be conducted, and assessment of its impacts from groundwater disposal is to be conducted, providing a framework of best management practices to be adopted in the permits of these projects in order to mitigate or minimize any anticipated impacts. Expertise in Hydrogeology, Marine Biology, Coastal Engineering, Coastal Pollutant Dispersion Modelling, Environmental Engineering etc. is required.
