Green – Holistic IoT platform for the Forest Management and Monitoring

Mobile Devices Laboratory of theΒ Frederick UniversityΒ (https://lnkd.in/e5e-TyQp) is the coordinator of the Green-HIT project in partnership withΒ CyRIC | Cyprus Research & Innovation Center Ltd,Β ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence,Β CERIDES – Center of Excellence in Risk and Decision SciencesΒ andΒ I.A.CO Environmental & Water Consultants Ltd.

The Green-HIT project aims at developing a holistic IoT for supporting productivity, competitiveness & growth of the economy & the promotion of digital and green technology via forest management and monitoring in a post-pandemic world by:
(a) offering prevention, detection and reaction to forest fires
(b) providing afforestation and reforestation recommendations
(c) protecting forests from illegal logging and hunting
(d) monitoring forests and forest areas
(e) offering forest mapping and inventory by collecting, combining and analyzing field data and remote sensed data.
