We are currently conducting water samplings and in-situ measurements in various river water bodies in Limassol District on behalf of the Water Development Department within the context of the implementation of the Article 8 of the Water Framework Directive (WFD) 2000/60/EC.
The in-situ measurements concern hydrological and physicochemical parameters, such as flow measurements, measurements of the temperature, dissolved oxygen, turbidity etc. In addition, we are collecting water samples for further lab analysis, for parameters that are defined in the WFD Directive.
The monitoring program concerns 56 stations covering the WFD river water bodies in the whole District of Limassol.
