Green Points are organized spaces where citizens can dispose various household waste, such as electrical and electronic equipment, garden waste, plastic, furniture, scrap metal etc. The development of the Green Points Network in Cyprus begun a decade ago, and today 22 Green Points all over the island are in operation.

The Division of Solid Waste Management of the Water Development Department (Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment), has awarded IACO to review the construction drawings and prepare the Tender Documents for the First Phase of Expansion of the Green Points Network. The First Phase of the expansion of the Network, concerns the extension of the existing Green Point in Alambra (Nicosia District) and the construction of three new Green Points in the Communities of Troulloi (Larnaka District), Eptagonia (Limassol District) and Avgorou (Ammochostos District). The aim is to strengthen the existing Green Points Network and provide better facilities and services to the users, both the stuff and citizens.
